![]() You were probably on the nose with it being a hacker honestly. Now I'm not saying this person was a botter or hacker, even though I did in the opening line of this post, but it sure was hella suspicious. ![]() I thankfully beat them in time, but the way this cat was blinking around the map looking for my drop was the scariest thing I encountered in D2 in ages.Įventually, I had a mini Acer One laptop that I used to create a second D2 account on so I could transfer safely. ![]() What does this Enigma Paladin do? I see them teleporting faster than Tracer chasing towards my off-the-beaten-path item drop spot. When I rejoin, a lvl 99 Paladin is also in the game now. That last one always concerned me because of freak accidents where the game closed anyway, so I always opted to join solidly ongoing games with what looked like small focused groups pve questing.Īnyway, so I go to one of the most inconspicuous WPs I can think of, and go far off the beaten path of it to drop my item. With no shared stash, if you wanted to transfer items without a trusting friend, you'd have to do it 2 ways: either join a long game in progress - usually with a small group obviously doing some pve questing - or create your own game and wait at least 5 minutes for it to stay existing while you switch characters. I will never forget - well I may forget some day who the hell knows - the day a hacker almost stole my prized possession.
